Jack Benny vs. Billy Graham...
One of the Reverend Graham's wittiest lines came when I remarked that once,
when I was drawing great crowds to the London Palladium, he had drawn about
500,000 people in one week to his meetings in London. This was true. We had
both been in London at the same time in 1954. And he said he couldn't take
the credit for his success: "Look at the writers I have, Jack."
"Writers?"
